A FEW HOLY GRAIL PRODUCTS

One of the main questions people tend to ask me is what makeup or beauty products I use. I am addicted to buying beauty products and have drawers, baskets and boxes full of them. Here’s a small collection of my “holy grail” products that I find myself reaching for the most!

E45 Moisturiser : I have extremely sensitive skin on my face. When I was young and went to friends birthday parties my face would swell and itch at only the sight of face paint. I’m really careful about what I apply to my face… I’ve tried SO many different moisturisers by all different brands, expensive and inexpensive products but nothing really seemed to work. Growing up, I watched my gran suffer with psoriasis and when ever her skin would flare up she would apply E45 cream. Anytime I had sore/sensitive skin she would put her cream on me and tell me it’s the best thing to use for irritated skin and looking back I can confirm she was 100% right. E45 is now the only thing I will apply to my body and face. If you have dry or sensitive skin I recommend replacing your current skin care products with this little gem!

Provoke Touch Of Silver Brightening Shampoo / Conditioner : If you have blonde hair you will know that over time it can appear quite dull and pick up some brassy tones. I prefer my hair to look brighter and have more icy blonde tones however It’s not always realistic to go to the hair dressers every time your hair looks a bit bleh. As I only like to have my hair chemically dyed no more than once a year my purple shampoo keeps my hair looking fresh all year round. I usually apply this every Sunday or second Sunday night. I’ll massage it through my hair and then leave it in whilst I take a bath. I tend to leave it in for approx 20 minutes… Any longer than this my hair will have flashes of lilac through it… which I don’t really mind to be honest but if purple hair isn’t up your street I would say to leave it on for no longer than 15-20 minutes at a time. I also really love the scent of this shampoo, It’s hard to describe exactly what it smells like but to me it’s slightly like sherbet.

Aussie volume dry shampoo : I hate washing my hair. I try to avoid doing it as much as possible because it’s not good for your hair to wash it too much. In-between washes I like to grab my Aussie dry shampoo, I prefer this one to the likes of batiste as it doesn’t leave a white powdery residue in my hair and as it says on the tin, It gives my hair great volume too. I can go approx 1 week without washing my hair when using this. When I googled this product to get the price, I noticed that it retails at £4.49 however I picked this up at Savers for a grand total of £1. If you fancy trying this, I would recommend trying to get it from Savers first.

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation and Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer : When discussing makeup the one question I am always asked is what foundation do I use. The one and only foundation I use is NARS Sheer Glow. I can guarantee this isn’t the first time you’ve heard this foundation being raved about as it is well known and loved between makeup junkies. I have used NARS Sheer Glow for around 3/4 years now and it has never let me down. Loads of my friends/family have also purchased this after using mine and falling in love with it. The formula is like silk on your face, It is very high coverage but doesn’t feel heavy or look cakey in the slightest. You can build it up seamlessly and it doesn’t budge all day. I don’t even set mine with powder and it still doesn’t crease. I use the shade “deauville”. It works for me both when I have tan on and when I don’t. When I have tan on I just bronze it up and it’s still a good match. This paired with the Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer gives me flawless skin. The concealer is really brightening and creamy and blends so well into the foundation.
